When I started teaching as an Assistant Teacher at Naveen Prathmik Shala (N.P.S.) Kesara, Chattisgarh in 2014, I faced many problems. The school had a lack of basic facilities like a library, toilet for girls, sports supply, staff room and even a boundary. And among all of this even the education quality suffered.
Realising that the young students were eventually suffering, I decided to speak to the administration and contribute towards changing the face of our school. In the last two years, through constant efforts of the teachers and participation of the students, we have most of the facilities in our school today. Students enthusiastically participate in all the events organized and are growing into becoming keen learners. We also have a kitchen garden, where students interact with nature, sports activities, art classes, exhibitions, music and dance without compromising on their studies and learning.
